Logo History

will help you better understand the significance of each individual aspect. The crossed rifles you see are 1792 Springfield Muskets, the weapons that won the war of 1812. These weapons helped to assure our independence as a nation. Looking at any Infantry guidon flag, the company logo (A/B/C Co.) is always located where the ‘GS’ is within our own primary Grunt Style logo. The year 1776 is when our country was founded, our motto, This We’ll Defend, was the motto of the American Revolution. Each word is meaningful. This refers to the United States, the U. S. Constitution and liberty. We’ll references the army’s collective team efforts, and Defend refers to the primary function of the army as a defender of the nation, not an aggressor against others. Now This We’ll Defend is the official motto of the United States Army and Grunt Style.
